Pula is a town located in the northern part of the Adriatic, or in the south of the peninsula of Istria, which is the most developed tourist region of Croatia. Due to its geographic position, the city has always had an important military and strategic significance and is today a starting point for sailing northern Croatia.
While in the city you should definitely visit the ancient Roman amphitheater.
You can visit Brijuni National Park (islands of extraordinary natural beauty and interesting flora and fauna) in the immediate vicinity of Pula. Sailing to the north are the towns of Rovinj, Poreč and Novigrad (for old charm and attractiveness).
If you go south, expect too very attractive islands of the northern Adriatic such as Lošinj, Cres, Krk, Rab, Pag and smaller islands of intimate character such as Ilovik, Unije and Susak.
